No Data Corruption & Data Integrity
What does the 'No Data Corruption & Data Integrity' slogan mean to every web hosting account user?
Data corruption is the unintentional change of a file or the losing of info which often occurs during reading or writing. The reason may be hardware or software fail, and consequently, a file can become partially or entirely corrupted, so it'll no longer work correctly since its bits shall be scrambled or lacking. An image file, for example, will no longer show an authentic image, but a random combination of colors, an archive will be impossible to unpack for the reason that its content will be unreadable, etc. In the event that such an issue appears and it's not identified by the system or by an admin, the data will be corrupted silently and in case this happens on a disk drive that is a part of a RAID array where the information is synced between various drives, the corrupted file shall be copied on all other drives and the damage will become long term. A number of commonly used file systems either do not offer real-time checks or don't have high quality ones which will detect a problem before the damage is done, so silent data corruption is a common problem on web hosting servers where huge amounts of info are kept.

No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Shared Website Hosting
If you host your websites in a
shared website hosting account with our company, you do not need to worry about your data ever getting corrupted. We can ensure that because our cloud hosting platform uses the state-of-the-art ZFS file system. The aforementioned is the only file system which uses checksums, or unique digital fingerprints, for each and every file. Any kind of info that you upload will be stored in a RAID i.e. simultaneously on multiple NVMes. Many file systems synchronize the files between the separate drives with such a setup, but there's no real warranty that a file will not be corrupted. This could happen throughout the writing process on each drive and afterwards a corrupted copy can be copied on all other drives. What makes the difference on our platform is the fact that ZFS examines the checksums of all files on all the drives immediately and when a corrupted file is identified, it's replaced with a good copy with the correct checksum from another drive. That way, your information will remain unharmed no matter what, even if a whole drive fails.

No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Semi-dedicated Hosting
In case you buy one of our
semi-dedicated hosting plans, you won't need to worry about silent file corruption because we use ZFS - a high level file system that keeps track of all of the files in real time. Whenever you upload a file to your web hosting account, ZFS will assign a unique digital fingerprint to it - the so-called checksum. This file will be synchronized between multiple NVMe drives for redundancy, so if one drive fails, the other ones will take control. ZFS compares the checksum of all the copies on the different drives and in case it detects a corrupted copy, it replaces it with a healthy one from another drive. This happens instantly, so there will be no threat for any part of your content at any moment. In contrast, other file systems carry out checks only after a system failure, but since they don't use anything similar to the checksums which ZFS uses, they cannot detect silently corrupted files, so a corrupted copy could be replicated on the remaining drives as well and you could lose critical information. Because this is not the case with ZFS, we can guarantee the integrity of each file you upload no matter what.
